I realize I am the worst blogger ever. I love, love, love looking at and reading other blogs. They inspire me so much. I finally figured out Google Reader and have been filling it with all the bloggy deliciousness I can find.

I wish I something of interest to post here but I really don't. Just realizing that I spend way to much time at work and not much time on me or my interests. I really want to make this little place a creative outlet of my own. Now to just remember it's here and utilize it :)

I'm going to make a true effort to change that this year...

Sideways

It's really hard to believe how sideways my life went. It seems it was just yesterday, yet when I look at the last post I made on this blog it has been years...

I am digging this blog back out because I really need to try and figure out my life as it is now. Not as it was back then. I'm stuck and I can't seem to move forward.

In the course of a few short months in 2009 I lost everything that was dear to me. My Mother, my Sister, my marriage, my life as I knew it and I've yet to recover.

So this blog now no longer will be about crafting, digi-scrapping, cooking, what-not because I no longer do any of those things. It will hopefully evolve into a place where I can share my day to day as it exists now and hopefully I will be able to move forward as I document.

I'm really just in search of an ordinary life, a life I can recognize and enjoy.

Good Day

Yesterday was a sad day when I realized the flowers that I'd been nurturing for weeks had been stolen.

At first I wasn't going to replace them, afraid they'd be taken from me again, but then I decided I wasn't going to let the person or persons who took them ruin something I really enjoy doing.

Taking care of those flowers has really been therapeutic so I had my husband run me to the flower store to get more.

I had so much fun choosing new beauties to replace my others, which will be missed - especially the beautiful pots they lived in.

I, also, picked up a wonderful coffee mug that I'd been wanting for quite some time, they were on sale so it was a win win! Isn't it just gorgeous?

Finally my tomatoes are hatching, is that the right wordage? Ah well, any way I have 10 of the little cuties growing from the various plants and I have a ton more flowers just waiting to turn into tomato babies. :)

So what started as a sad day ended with my potting up gorgeousness, drinking fresh brewed coffee out of a wonderful mug and showing off the tomato babies to anyone who would look!

How Sad

Someone came onto my property last night and stole my beautiful flowers, pots and all. This doesn't help my depression at all... :(

Sorry for the absence. I still am on the insane emotional roller coaster I climbed aboard after my Mom passed. I thought I was done with the ride but am slowly realizing that grief is sneaky and can come out of no where to set your world into a tail spin. I'm doing better today.

She's 17 today!

Monday Evening

It's Monday and it's been 2 weeks, I think, since I injured my back again and have not been able to go on my walks.

I missed showing pictures so I've taken some this evening.

We had a storm roll through a little bit ago, HUGE drops of rain.

Just enough to burn off some of the humidity and create some wonderful rainbows. It was nice.

Symon even came home long enough to eat the dog's food. :) I hope you all had a wonderful Monday!

Crafting Mojo is Back!

I'm making something, it's kinda neat I think. I don't have one done yet but I do have the materials I'm going to use to share with you today.

I had a bunch of these tins left over from a Holiday Gift I did back in 2004 and recently purchased the little bundle of fabric pictured above.

My husband has a drill he lets me use and then there's just a wee bit of black felt and some glue involved. These I will use to create something useful... Stay Tuned. :)

I've always been a Canon snob but recently started reading a lot of good reviews about Nikon, the one that piqued my interest the most was the ease of use.

This D60 is definitely the model for me but they just came out with the D5000 . I about fell over when I read you can edit the photos right in the camera! Crazy!
